im newbie to all this apple gadget n i gotten myself and iphone 4. so iphone 4 is ios4.0.1 . or that is an upgrade version from iphone 3gs.. i dl the icon already but cant use it. waiting for it to launch. so it will work on iphone 4 yea?

Everyone be patient. The problem is Apple changed the format the fonts use and all fonts have to be converted.

Until FontSwap works you can use Calibri font as a substitute for the boring standard font. Looks much better,though I prefer Hand of Sean myself. Here is the link,make sure to read the readme included in the file. Cheers

hey ok thanks for the info on the fontswap…it was pissing me off that i couldnt change my font. but i have another question…is anyone having problems getting keyboard themes from cydia for their iphone 4? they just dont seem to work for me

@JGlenellen thanks for the tip! Is anyone having issues changing the font on the springboard icons/text messages/Phone favorites? I have tried Calibri and a couple others and it will not change for me!

@Diari Cydia keyboard themes haven’t worked since iOS 2.x. As far as I know, you can only change the font of the letters, not the keyboard theme itself.

Hey Daniel I had trouble adding fonts myself. Of course FontSwap works beautifully for the lock clock, just not the System font. I tried as suggested in a few forums, changing the Heveltica files, but I respring and it never works. I’m pretty much ready to leave it to Fontswap to hit us with a beautiful iP4 update. Tired of struggling with this. I will gladly pay for an update FontSwap.

there are currently two fonts chosen. im trying to only pick one. but everytime i try and restore all default fonts, to start over. it does nothing. and leaves the same boring iPhone font. how can i successfully change my text messaging font?! please help

@Donnie B I finally got it to work! The key (it seems is to only transfer over one of the fonts at a time through ssh. I was trying to transfer them all at once. Worked for me!!

Take a look at his twitter feed.
This guy has a SERIOUS alcohol problem. I don’t think he’s in the condition required to develop a new version of the software so you have to rely on single font substitution using ssh.

You should trash FontSwap and try Bytafont on Cydia, iOS4 enabled.

Guy try Bytafont, its actually more stable and best of all works perfect on iphone 4 or 4.1+
Only downside is thats there not as many font but that will change
