FontSwap 1.3 now on Cydia

hi guys.. been a really really long time since my last post, i’m sure many of you thought i’ve abandoned my blog, but i haven’t..
been busy with all sorts of things, last sememster at college being the primary reason for my inactivity..
i’m proud to present to you the latest version of FontSwap, version 1.3.
have incorporated most of the features i thought i would and then some, really glad about the way it has turned out. i hope you guys enjoy using it as much as i enjoyed creating it..
changelog:
1. previews of fonts before install
2. checks metadata prior to installing font so you don’t have to worry about it.
3. checks font package format before install
4. fixes bug that caused crash when device was on wifi but had no internet connection
5. improved metadata detection
the previews are fetched from the fontswap webserver and i’ve tried to maintain as many font previews there as possible, will be adding more from time to time..
IMPORTANT:
as mentioned in previous posts as well, this application doesn’t do anything that can leave your device unusable. there is *absolutely* no need to restore your device if something goes wrong during the use of this application.
to fix any error that you think has been caused by FontSwap, simply connect over SSH to your device and run the the command
“/Applications/FontSwap.app/restore”
without the quotes..
as long as you have SSH and WiFi set to always on (which is a smart thing to do on a jailbroken device) you can recover from most crashes whether or not they’re caused by FontSwap.

i installed font swap from cydia. but it dosent show the option change for dialer font. it has the “dialer font” folder in the packages folder. but it just dosent show up in fontswap. how do i fix this? thanks in advance,

Well done, and nice to see you back, i was wondering if you had finished with FontSwap, so its a nice surprise to see you again (well you know what i mean).
Update is very nice, i like the font previews, which is really helpful..
As the previous person commented on the Dialler font option, i guess you have removed it. But i don’t see that as a problem, i just re-sprung the device and dialler font was installed just fine.

the preview feature is great but it would be the best if it could be enabled/disabled..

I installed FontSwap on my iPhone, and it works for 3 out of 4 subsystems… Dialler, LockClock and Notes all work fine, but the system font doesn’t.
Not only doesn’t FontSwap work for the system font, it has also removed all the text from my springboard and nothing I can do seems to bring the text back.
Have tried setting all the options in FontSwap back to Default, have tried uninstalling FontSwap, and have even tried re-installing FontSwap to see if it was just a strange error first time around. No luck. Even a restore fails to get my text back.
Any ideas, as I really do prefer text on my iPhone Springboard?

Have managed to recover fonts. Had to do a complete restore to defaults to get it back in order. Now I need to re-JB to get my old setup back. Impressed with the ability to swap fonts, not impressed with the bug.

The app seems really cool if I could only get it to work. When it “resprings” it doesn’t change anything. And on others where it is just supossed to restart app it doesn’t change screens at all. Any ideas?

looks like OS 3.0 broke fontswap. Do you think you’ll have the time to fix IT anytime soon?

I installed fontswap today it’s on my apps but can’t get it to work! Is there a problem? I changed to a sertain font but nothing happens! I really want to try this app soo please let me know if i shoud do something diferant…
Ps: I tried installing the app to my fiances phone on cydia but there’s nothing there for fontswap?? Why is that?

Fontswap doesn’t work. Is it because I have the 3.0 firmware? If so, when will this be fixed?

I have a 2G Ipod touch with 3.0 and jailbroke. I was having a problem with fontswap not working like other recent posters. However, I opened Cydia today and there were changes for numerous applications including Fontswap. Whatever the changes, Fontswap not works on my ipod.

i have 3G, firmware 3.0, i use the Neo for systems, but this font is shifted upward for the stopwatch. will you have time to fix this?

I have 3g iPhone and install fontswap and works but I want to know how can I get more fonts like you show on the screen like ;abugs life or aladin, I think I have the most recently vercion of fonswap (3.0) if is not the correc tellme where can I get the other version …

hey um i downloaded the font app and then decided to tale it off when i took it off all my typing on my ipod got messed up the words would be higher then normal any ideas

ok, nstalled Fontswap just an hour ago, tried two fonts, everything seemed fine, decided to try the third one and the iphone (3G) got stuck on respring, did the hard-reset (or whatever it is called) and now I have an officially dead iphone. It tries to reload on power-on, but no luck.
And the only reason I downloaded is to get a clearer font for sms…

I rarely drop responses, however i did some searching and wound up here FontSwap 1.3 now on Cydia gaurav’s rants. And I actually do have 2 questions for you if you tend not to mind. Could it be just me or does it give the impression like some of the responses come across like written by brain dead folks?
And, if you are writing at other social sites, I’d like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post. Would you list of all of your social pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
