Neo Keys Dark for iPhone 2.0.x [WinterBoard]

so i’ve finally completed this theme to my satisfaction.. looks really fantastic on my iPhone..
you *must* get this keyboard if you have NeoTech as the system font and dark replacements for other artwork.. it goes very nice without the dark artwork as well..
there were some problems initially with images that were exported from Photoshop [i used Photoshop for the batch automation feature], they were all messed up.. then i decided to do the alterations and export manually from Fireworks and that did the trick.. the images came out perfect..

it’s a hell lot harder to theme a dark keyboard or one that has different colors from the default keyboard as there are many more images that need to be modified.. in case of Neo Keys i had to only modify the images that had text.. this time almost all the images related to the keyboard needed modification.. which was quite time consuming.. and i’m glad i made Neo Keys in a very systematic way using layers in the PNGs.. it helped me loads to get this darker theme done quick and easy..
if you discover a bug please post a comment, a screenshot of the bug would help me fix it quicker..

PS: i had to modify the screenshots in fireworks.. i increased the brightness a bit.. the screenshots and the artwork files look very very dark to the point of making it impossible to distinguish between colors when viewed on the pc. these screenshots is still a bit darker than how it looks on my iPhone.. i have brightness set to around 0.7 on my iPhone.. if you have it lower/higher. this theme will look much darker/lighter respectively..

Nice! I just installed the normal, but it doesn’t really fit in with all the other blackish theme’d stuff I have. Now it will! Thanks for all your work man!

I have been trying this over and over again but I will say by far you have thee best files for the Iphone etc that work … I wanted to drop a screen shot but no upload email me for a look at my iCustom…. L8

hey i was just wondering if you could possible make it into
keyboard-common.artwork and keyboard-latin.artwork
because i dont have wifi at my house so i cant use winscp but i use iphonebrower and ive got all your other stuff on my phone..
so if you could possibly do that id greatly appreciate it

Only Bug I noticed is when you enter your password for something you do not see the asteriks in the password box its just blank

@GrimLock: the password field showing up empty is not the bug with the keyboard but the NeoTech font.. i’ve tried everything i could do to try and fix it but nothing seems to work.. i’d post an updated font file as soon as something develops over there.. you can emeil me your screenshot at gaurav [at] gauravgiri [dawt] com.. i’ll add a contact me page when i get the time..

I’ve tried redownloading and reinstalling multiple times but mine always looks solid black and not with the slightly more grey keys as in the above screenshot. Is this the way it is supposed to be? I also have the dark keyboard with helvetica font and it looks correct and not all black like my neo tech one.

@decimusmaximus7: you’ve got the brightness set too low on your iPhone.. i’ve mentioned this issue in the post.. try increasing the brightness a bit and see if it works for you..

keyboard looks great and I really want this to work… but on my iPhone 3G none of the actual text/fonts are modified, only the key images.
is that to be expected? I’ve tried Neo Keys and Neo Keys Dark with same outcome

@Justin: the theme only affects the keyboard on the iPhone. for system wide changes you need to download and install the custom system fonts.. there are many posts with custom fonts.. just look.
